The 2011 Vacation Scholarship Programme has now closed. Applications for the 2012 programme will open in around July of next year. Please check back with us then.
Every summer, as part of CSIRO's Vacation Student Scholarship Programme, the Australian e-Health Research Centre (AEHRC) offers scholarships to undergraduate students which cover a wide range of the research performed at the AEHRC.
The 2011 Vacation Scholarship Programme is designed to provide students with the opportunity to work on real-world problems in a leading R&D organisation. Participation in the Vacation Scholarship Programme has influenced previous scholarship holders in their choice of further study and future career options. Many have gone on to pursue a PhD in CSIRO or to build a successful research career within CSIRO, a university or industry.
The scholarships are open to students who have completed at least three years of undergraduate study and who have maintained a credit average or higher. Scholarships are to commence on the 28th of November 2011 and continue for a period of 10 weeks. Each student will undertake a research project under the supervision of a research scientist or engineer. Presentation skills training is provided by supervisors as well as an opportunity to participate in an end of scholarship conference with other students and CSIRO research scientists.
